Annie is a musical based upon the popular Harold Gray comic strip Little Orphan Annie. The music is by Charles Strouse, lyrics by Martin Charnin, and the book by Thomas Meehan. Famous songs from the musical include "Tomorrow" and "It's A Hard Knock Life".In The News:
Wanda Sykes will play Miss Hannigan in Media Theatre?s ?Annie?
Popular TV comedian Wanda Sykes, who ranks as one of Entertainment Weekly?s 25 Funniest People in America, will join The Media Theatre?s production of ?Annie? as Miss Hannigan. She will take on the iconic role Nov. 23 through Dec. 12. After a brief hiatus, she will return to the musical Jan. 12-16.
